Phil and Sarah found a jazz festival on the first sunday of their stay, In Mommark, on the other side of the island of Als.

Annabel finds a more relaxing pastime
After the peace of Kerteminde, above, Ballen on Samso was quite hectic! We arrived just before a huge storm, and one of the most spectacular lightning displays I have ever seen!

Annabel, Phil and Sarah took the opportunity to get out the bikes to have a look around Samso. Apparently it is known as the breadbasket of Denmark. They even found a vinyard.

Faaborg - still one of our favourite places in Denmark - very pretty with excellent shops, and a very good chandlery

The next day, as we approached Middelfart, it was quite blustery, and we were pleased to find a nice sheltered anchorage on the south side of the town that evening.
